After becoming the head of her family (and leaving an advisor in charge of affairs), she set off on a quest to protect all she encountered. During her travels, she found herself caught in a massive storm, where she was left very injured. A priest of the Church of Helm took her in and taught her about Helm's divine protection. She swore herself to the Vigilant Eyes of the God, where she dedicated herself to Helm and his holy mission. (DnD references included)

Soon after her travels, she broke her oath of devotion and swore an oath of vengeance. While she still protects the innocent, she doesn't always think of how her actions will affect her own purity.
